The SJR Track Team had a fantastic showing at the North Jersey Championships at Garrett Mountain! Leading the freshmen team, Jac LeCoz completed the 2-mile race in just under 14 minutes, helping the frosh secure their second consecutive invitational win. This victory follows their recent triumphs at both the Garrett Mountain Invitational and the Brett Taylor Invitational. The freshmen team, comprised of Billy Boyhen, Charles Goldberg, Henry Herzing, Ben Mattessich, Dean Tsocanos, and Jac LeCoz, continues to dominate.
On the JV side, the Green Knights placed 4th out of 8 teams, with standout Frankie Dalton running the 5k in 21:56. The varsity team delivered an impressive 2nd place finish out of 8 teams, with Joe Lizzi leading the way, coming in 9th with a time of 18:33. Darren Coyle and Dean Tsocanos were right behind him, placing 11th and 12th with times of 18:34 and 18:43. AJ Villeda, Jack Meyers, Jack Boyle, and Fionn Craven also contributed to the team’s success.
