SJR Announces 2024 President's Gala Honorees

On Thursday, November 7, Saint Joseph Regional High School will induct its 2024 Hall of Fame Class at its annual President's Gala at Edgewood Country Club.

In just its third year, the Gala has become a marquee social event on the calendar and a key fundraiser for the school's mission.

Long-time Board of Consultants member Matt Frasco '81 will receive the President's Medal, bestowed by SJR President Bob Fazio. Frasco has chaired the Facilities Committee at SJR for many years, been a generous benefactor and committed countless hours to the future of our mission, all while serving as a class captain and reunion coordinator.

"Matt's commitments to his classmates, his school and its students through philanthropy, volunteerism and leadership is unmatched. It is my honor to present him with the President's Medal this year," said Fazio.

In addition, SJR will induct three new members to its Hall of Fame: The Cahill Family, Dave Connolly '73 and Pat Kivlehan '08.

The Cahill Family is recognized as an Outstanding Alumni Family. The Cahills boast five alumni (Michael ‘92, James ‘99, Keith ‘02, Jake Wolleben ‘23, David Wolleben ‘24) and three generations of dedication to the mission of SJR including benefactors Mickey and Vicky Cahill P ‘92, Jimmy and Marie Cahill P ‘99, ‘02 and David and Dina Wolleben P ‘23, ‘24.

Dave Connolly '73, P '11 is honored as an Outstanding Alumnus. He has spent 50 years as a consummate SJR alum, keeping his classmates engaged and rallying his classmates behind two key gifts to the school including the Class of 1973 Van and the Class of 1973 Endowed Scholarship. He and his wife Mary saw their son John graduate in 2011 and have continued to remain involved in school life.

Pat Kivlehan ‘08 is recognized as an Outstanding Athlete. He represented SJR as a two-sport athlete at Rutgers before embarking on a Major League Baseball career that eventually led to a silver medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Kivlehan recently returned to campus as the Director of Student Affairs, sharing his pride for SJR with the next generation of Green Knights.

"We are thrilled to honor three alumni and one family at this year's Gala," explained Director of Advancement Scott Donnelly. "As this event continues to grow, it will only get better and better. We are grateful for the support of our benefactors, enabling us to host a memorable night."
