Seven SJR students recently made their way up to the Marist Brothers Center at Esopus for the November encounter retreat. Liam Fahey '24, Massimo Titolo '24, David Wolleben '24, Jack Laux '24, Karol Grzesiuk '24, Luke Rickli '25, Joakim Alesna '25 all attended the retreat.
The weekend was filled with prayer, meditation, and sing-alongs, but most importantly, time to connect with God. Students from Marist schools all over the country came to encounter God, including Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida and Mount St. Michael's in Bronx, New York just to name a few. The experience was extremely enriching for the students who attended. There will be various encounters spread throughout the remainder of the school year for students who want to go.
