Statement on the murder of George Floyd
As Pope Francis said this morning, "we cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye toward racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life."
It is vital that we, as a family, stand beside our black brothers.
It is time for us to listen, it is time for us to learn.
Our young brothers are hurting, they are in pain, they are confused, they are fearful. This cannot continue. It is incumbent upon us as administrators, alumni, members of the brotherhood and Viri Fidelis first to listen, to learn, and then to advocate however possible for change where change is needed.

It is incumbent upon us as administrators, alumni, members of the brotherhood and Viri Fideles first to listen, to learn, and then to advocate however possible for change where change is needed.
We began this process with a series of online listening sessions with students. We will continue over the summer, and when school resumes this fall.
