Throughout the year, Saint Joseph Regional High School students collect thousands of bags of Halloween candy, Thanksgiving food items, toys, toiletry kits, cereal boxes, and dollars for charity causes including the Leukemia Society, Gift of Life International, and Haiti Relief. Additionally, two "evergreen" drives at Saint Joe's run all year to collect Clothing for Homeless Men in New York City, and to fill container crates with items to ship to the poor in El Salvador and Nicaragua. Each summer, SJR students dedicate weeks at a time to volunteer at camps for inner city children and people living with disabilities in Esopus, New York. And Saint Joe's has fostered an ongoing relationship of service and compassion with surrounding rehabilitation and senior citizens centers. In the hearts and the actions of our students truly lives the philosophy that it is best to serve others.
