About Me
Bio: My name is Michele Coffey and I am excited to begin my first year at SJR! This is my 7th year as an educator and have experience teaching Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science and Anatomy and Physiology.
Education: I hold an MS Ed. in Adolescent Education with a concentration in Biology. I am dually certified in Students with Disabilities and hold NYS certifications in Biology 7-12, Chemistry 7-12, Generalist 7-12 & SWD 7-12.
Hometown: I am from Pearl River, NY in Rockland County
Fun Fact: This is my second position working in Catholic Education. I taught Chemistry at Don Bosco Prep for 5 years.
When I'm not at SJR you'll find me: Spending time with my family, friends and two dogs, Winchester and Noah.
Why SJR?: I am very passionate about working in Catholic Education. One major aspect of my teaching philosophy is to focus on the student as a whole, not just academics. Outstanding, caring faculty, on hands administrators and core disciplines define SJR.
