Spend a Day with the Knights
St. Joseph Regional High School sponsors a unique program where an 8th grader can spend a day at St. Joseph. In our "Spend a Day with the Knights" program a current 8th grader can experience what it is like to be a St. Joseph student.
Here is how the program works:
- A student requests permission from his 8th grade principal and teachers;
- He contacts the St. Joseph Admissions Office and arranges the day which he would like to attend;
- He shows up at St. Joseph in school dress ready to be matched up with a current Freshmen and attend classes.
Applying to Saint Joseph Regional
Eighth grade students who wish to attend Saint Joseph Regional for their freshman year must complete the following:
- The COOPERATIVE ADMISSIONS EXAMINATION (COOP), administered by the Archdiocese of Newark and the Diocese of Paterson. The COOP exam will be administered at selected sites within the Archdiocese of Newark (in the counties of Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Union and Rockland, NY) and the Diocese of Paterson (in the counties of Morris, Passaic and Sussex) on Friday, November 6, 2009. Beginning September 3, you may obtain a test application and handbook from a Catholic elementery or high school. To apply on-line, visit the COOP web page at www.coopexam.org or call 888-921-2667 weekdays between 8:30am and 8:30 pm EST.
- Submit an official transcript from your current school that includes your grades and standardized testing from grades 6,7, and 8.
- Submit the Saint Joseph Regional High School Application for Admission (including essay) available on the school’s website in .PDF format. Applications for ninth grade admission are due by December 1st.
If the COOP exam is not taken and the student seeks admission to Saint Joseph Regional, he should contact the Admissions Office for late application procedures and testing details.
Transfer Students
Transfer students are also considered for admission based upon their performance at their current schools, standardized test scores and a completed application and essay.
