We welcome prospective St. Joseph Regional students, both incoming freshmen
(class of '29 applications open in August) and transfer students (rolling admissions).

Applications for grades 9, 10, or 11 admission consideration

are accepted from all qualified grammar school students.

We ask that you complete the steps listed below.

If have any questions, please contact our Admissions Office:

 [email protected]  |  201-391-3301

Complete the Application: The application should only be filled in by a Parent/Guardian with the exception of the essay portion which should be written by the prospective student. Parents/Guardians will be asked to create a parent portal account to access the application. This account must be made with the Parent/Guardian email address, not the student email address. Please bookmark the page and remember to jot down your email address and password as you will be returning to the portal often during the process.

    • Applications for admission consideration for incoming freshmen will open in August and must be submitted before December 4, 2024. Transfer student applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
      • If you currently have a student attending St. Joseph Regional High School or if you have an alum, you do not need to create a new account. Please log in with the credentials used to create your portal account. If you do not remember your login credentials, please reach out to Hillary Barnett ([email protected]).
      • If you have never had a St. Joseph Regional High School student, click "Create Account" to start the application process. Note that even if your student has visited St. Joseph Regional High School, you will need to create an account.

    • Once the application is complete and submitted, you will receive an email instructing you to return to the portal to complete all other requirements: (Letter(s) of Recommendation, Official Transcript Request, etc...). These checklist items will not be available to you until the application is completed and submitted.
    • We do not process incomplete applications. Everything including the student essay must be complete at time of submission.

Admission decisions for the 2025-2026 academic year will be sent via mail and email on January 10, 2025.

Register for the HSPT (incoming freshmen): The exam will take place at various locations on November 8, 2024. There are many testing sites, St. Joseph Regional High School is one of them. All incoming freshman are required to take the HSPT.

Financial Aid: If you plan to apply for Financial Aid, you will need to complete a Financial Aid Application by December 4, 2024. (Applications open late summer/early fall.)

Transfer Students Only: Complete and submit the Transfer Questionnaire. If you are a transfer student, this form will be listed in your portal checklist.

Register to visit us: We offer several options for you to visit campus. We offer two Open House opportunities in the fall, Private Tours (required for transfer students), and a Knight for a Day experience.

International Applicants
Saint Joseph Regional High School welcomes well-qualified international applicants who have a strong academic record and sufficient English language proficiency to perform well in a challenging college preparatory environment.

Acceptance of international students is based on the following criteria:

1. Satisfactory official transcripts: We require the last three years of the student's transcripts (report cards are not an acceptable form of transcript), an official school document that provides a description of courses taken, and the students current grades (most recent report card accepted). These documents should be emailed to admissions @sjrnj.org. We will not consider students for admission before receiving these documents.
2. Standardized Test results (TOEFL, CLEP, or SLEP). Please email the standardized scores using the information provided above.
3. An official letter from your bank noting required funds.
4. Proper government documents for residency.
5. A complete copy of immunization records and latest physical exam performed by the student's physician.

Once all of the above documents have been submitted, the Admissions Team will reach out with next steps.
